This rebellion was articulated by analyst Van Jones, who warned that the image of Narendra Modi, Xi Jinping, and Vladimir Putin together should “send a chill down the spine of every American.” He sees it as a coordinated effort to dismantle the unipolar system and replace it with a multipolar one.
The fuel for this rebellion is the widespread discontent with US economic and foreign policy, particularly the use of tariffs as a coercive tool. This has provided a common cause for a diverse range of powerful nations to unite and challenge the status quo.
Jones concluded that the US has been strategically outmaneuvered, finding itself “in a box” and on the “bad side of the triangle.” The consequence is a world where “it’s everybody against us,” a dangerous and unfavorable outcome for a nation accustomed to global leadership.
